Summer, and the Living’s Easy!

Need a little time to relax, listen to music and drink a little great wine.  You may want to take a trip up to the Foothills on most any Friday night or Saturday or Sunday afternoon and you won’t be disappointed. There are a few wineries offering music on the weekends and we visited 3 of them that are doing just that on a consistent basis.  They all have wines to taste while you are there and wine for sale by the bottle to enjoy with the great music.  Please remember you cannot bring in your own alcohol to any winery event, but can often bring your own food. 

 

Boger Picnic area

Boeger Winery:  Every Friday night June through August the Boeger Winery in Placerville, El Dorado County, stays open until 8:00 PM offering wine tasting and live music to enjoy on their incredibly park-like grounds.  This is truly a summer event in the area with many people using it to wind down after a long week.  The grounds are particularly suited to this type of event featuring picnic tables along the creek and pond as well as a large grassy area with picnic tables and lots of area to set up if you bring your own chairs.  Continued ...
